Hey if Claude Julien can throw caution to the wind and have the Habs scoring, perhaps Hitch can change too...who knows...interesting choice indeed...

Oh no!

Hitch will turn 97 into a 20 goal scorer!

Well, playtime is over, kids

You guys will see what I mean very quickly -- Hitch is many things, and it's fair to question whether some aspects of the game have passed him by, but one thing's for sure: He's not gonna put up with half-assed backchecking, punk-ass board play and not getting to the net

In other words: If you're skilled but soft, you might as well put your house up for sale. Grinders who don't cheat are welcome

There are only two coaches I know of that will immediately shape up the defensive game, thats hitch and lemaire.

Did I not read on here the other day that you wanted a young coach that would be good with the youth?

I do not see the fit.

That’s great! But you need players that can play D!

Every player CAN play D, most don't want to. He'll change that. Should be interesting to see no doubt.

Hitchcock is from Edmonton.... it's the next closest thing to hiring someone who played for Edmonton.

Brightside, he's coming out of retirement for this so I doubt he's considered a long term option.

Dreger specified that his is a one year deal that'll be re-evaluated at the end of the year.

We'll see how a team responds to a tough coach who won't be there next year most likely.

When are the Oilers finally going to get rid of the real problem?

Examples
Hall for Larsson
16th & 33rd for Reinhart
Eberle for Strome = Eberle for Spooner

This is essentially Larsson and Spooner for Hall, Eberle a 6th & 33rd, he is a great GM.

and don't forget about Seguin.

Is it really just Todd that's the problem?

Time to get a competent GM in there before there's any more trades.
